Marine Dimensions’ popular Introduction to Marine Biology course has been developed as an option for young people considering a career in marine biology, as well as secondary level students who would just like to know more about Ireland’s fascinating marine environment. Designed to run over a period of five days, the course covers a wide range of marine topics, including practical hands on demonstrations of techniques regularly used by biologists, eg survey skills, fish dissections etc. Students also have the option of including outdoor adventure activities such as snorkelling and SCUBA diving in their course programme. This unique course is available to students through our School of Marine Biology and as a private option for individual schools.

Our Kids Sea Camps are an exciting option for any child interested in nature and the outdoors. Based in various locations along Ireland’s beautiful east coast, we introduce children to a whole host of sea creatures, including baby sharks, rays, starfish, crabs and lots more. Kids also get a chance to discover nature outdoors with our enthusiastic and experienced team of marine biologists. Planned outdoor activities include tide pooling trips, sand castle competitions and shark eggcase hunts. Several camp options are available to suit your child’s level.
